Board reschedules Special Town Meeting, approves precinct consolidation

MIDDLEBOROUGH — Select Board reschedules Special Town Meeting to June 16 due to warrant delays. The Board voted unanimously to move the June 1 Special Town Meeting to June 16 at 7 p.m. at Middleborough High School and opened and closed the warrant the same evening to meet advertising requirements. The Board also unanimously approved voter precinct consolidation as presented by Town Clerk Pam Menconi, relocating precinct 3 from South Fire Station to the high school and consolidating precincts 5 and 5A from the Council on Aging to Nichols Middle School, with estimated annual savings of $20,777.
