Middleborough Commission continues hearing on East Grove Street surf park to September 3. The proposed 20-acre development would include a wave lagoon, three buildings, 35 cottage-style hotel units, and parking, impacting isolated and bordering vegetated wetlands. The Commission unanimously approved Orders of Conditions for wetland projects at 676 Wareham Street, 485R Wareham Street, Lot-9 Christina Way, and water treatment facilities, and authorized a 4,950-dollar peer review contract.

Public commenters raised concerns about the project's estimated 60,000 gallons daily water usage and potential effects on groundwater and private wells.
