Conservation Commission denies amendment for 7 Winter Street property

Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 7, 2026

Middleborough Conservation Commission rejects amendment to relocate 7 Winter Street structure. Engineer Richard Rheaume's motion to amend the Order of Conditions failed when three members opposed it, citing concerns about a cellar drain extending into the 25-foot buffer zone. The Commission also approved Standard Orders for a 10-acre container park at 480 Wareham Street (one dissent), a solar project at Off Stone Street (5-1), and projects at 4 Captain Hall Road and 6 Spencer Street (both unanimous).

An isolated wetland containing amphibian species discovered at Campus 44 prompted the Commission to table action pending a site visit and wildlife relocation plan.
