Council on Aging Budget Endorsed at $1.2M for FY 2027

MIDDLEBOROUGH — Council on Aging Board endorses $1.2M FY 2027 budget. The board accepted $1,228,211 forwarded by the town manager, down $60,109 from the original request of $1,288,320, for town-wide vote. It approved April meeting minutes and Director Holly Begley's report.
The Middleborough Elks donated $1,500 to support the council. Board terms end in 2026 for Rich Young, Peg Holzemer, and Betty Wainwright, who must notify the Selectboard if interested in continuing. Officer elections for all four FY 2027 positions are scheduled for June.
