Finance Committee approves $650,458 in end-of-year transfers

Middleborough Finance Committee voted unanimously to approve $650,458 in end-of-year department transfers. Vice Chair Nathan Demers presided with four of seven members present; Michael Croatti, Robert Sullivan, and Matthew Phillips were absent. The transfers included $240,000 from Vet Services to Fire, $66,300 from Debt to Legal, and $50,000 from FICA to Library, with allocations also to Planning, Police, Building, and other departments.
During public comment, resident Alan Desmarais raised concerns about committee attendance and noted an error in recorded minutes from March 23, 2026, which the recording secretary agreed to review.
