Finance Committee launches FY27 budget review

MIDDLEBOROUGH — Finance Committee begins preliminary FY27 budget review. Chair Robert Sullivan led members Nathan Demers, Alan R. Krischner, and Eric Machado through the first round of departmental budget discussions, with the school budget adjusted to $42,550,000, down $400,000 from the original proposal.
Several departments were held pending additional information, including the Town Manager's Office, Finance Department, and Legal Department, which costs approximately $300,000 annually. The Elections Department budget increased to $93,000 to accommodate three elections.
