Middleborough finance committee seeks formal role in budget overhaul after manager reveals crisis. The Finance Committee unanimously voted to send a letter to the Select Board reaffirming its commitment to advise and assist in budget development, after Interim Town Manager Joe Perkins revealed that FY27 budget revenues are significantly out of line and require a complete restart. The committee also unanimously approved an MMA Convention invoice.
The disclosure may force a delay to the annual town meeting.
