Middleborough Finance Committee seeks comprehensive financial data. The committee voted 5-2 on February 9 to request all expenses, revenue, payroll, headcount, turnbacks, capital spending, and town debt information from the town manager and finance director by February 17, with Chair Eric Machado and Nathan Demers opposed. During a joint review with the Select Board, the committee examined Police and Fire Department FY27 budgets, both facing 9 percent increases.
Fire Department long-term needs include a $2.5 million ladder truck, $200,000 PPE refresh, and $150,000 SCBA equipment.
