Middleborough Select Board approves interim town manager contract after authority debate. The board unanimously approved Robert G. Nunes as Interim Town Manager at $105 per hour for up to 30 hours per week, beginning September 15 and ending no later than March 31, 2027, following discussion over contract provisions requiring consultation with the Select Board Chair on hiring and firing decisions.
The board also unanimously accepted a $128,735 distribution from the W. Arnold MacKenzie Estate for the Council on Aging and authorized Water Superintendent Mike Bumpus to file for State Revolving Fund assistance, offering zero-percent-interest loans with up to 13 percent principal forgiveness for the South Wells Water Treatment Plant.
