Park Commission approves January minutes; outlines summer plans and capital request.

MIDDLEBOROUGH — Park Commission approves January minutes and reviews capital requests. The Commission voted 3 to 0 to approve the January 13, 2026 minutes, with Commissioner Bill Ferdinand abstaining. Park Superintendent Fran Cass reported that the Revolving Fund holds $3,147.51 and the Donation account contains $2,224.41.
The Commission is requesting $15,000 from the Capital Improvement Plan for a storage building at Oliver Mill Park and has finalized field-use contracts with Little League, Horsman's baseball group, and Girls Softball. A larger Fourth of July fireworks display is planned for July 3 with a rain date of July 5, funded by a donation from the Peirce Trustees, with Fanelli Amusements operating a carnival July 1 through 5.
