Planning Board approves bylaw amendments on cannabis zoning and marijuana definitions

MIDDLEBOROUGH — Planning Board approves cannabis zoning amendments with one dissent. The board unanimously approved the Open Space and Resource Preservation Development Bylaw final draft, then voted 3 to 1 to advance two zoning amendments: the Cannabis Business District amendment and the General Bylaw Definition amendment for marijuana establishments. Chair Allin Frawley, Member Tracie Craig-McGee, and Member William B.
Garceau voted in favor; Vice Chair Nancy Kefalis dissented on both measures. Three continued hearings on the Middleboro Farms project were rescheduled to April 21, 2026, with deadlines extended to May 18, 2026, and a preliminary subdivision plan for 177 East Grove Street was continued to March 17, 2026.
