Select Board approves $200,000-$225,000 salary range for Town Manager

Middleborough Select Board sets Town Manager salary range as search begins. The Board unanimously approved a $200,000 to $225,000 salary range for the vacant Town Manager position ahead of the Search Committee's first meeting on June 4, 2026. Board members discussed the importance of remaining competitive with neighboring communities including Bridgewater and Wareham.
The Board also unanimously rescinded police officer layoffs, retaining three patrol officers through anticipated attrition due to vacated higher-salary positions. One officer was approved for transfer to Wrentham. The police department continues to absorb a $432,000 direct budget reduction and $100,000 indirect reduction.
