MIDDLEBOROUGH — Select Board approves Interim Town Manager contract, rejecting Farley amendment. The board voted 4-1 to accept the interim contract as written and signed by Joe Perkins, with Teresa Farley opposing. Farley's motion to amend hiring, firing, and negotiation responsibilities failed 1-4.
In other votes, the board unanimously approved one-day beer and wine licenses for eight events at The Alley Theatre between March 7 and March 29, appointed Madeline Berio as Animal Control Officer for one year, and approved Soule Homestead capital improvements including entrance enlargement, water bubbler and barn door replacement, and sunshades. The board also unanimously approved three wetland protection permits for Wareham Street, Canopy Drive, and Summer Street properties.
