Middleborough Select Board eases water restrictions from Level 2 to Level 1. The board voted unanimously August 17 to implement Level 1 drought restrictions, allowing outdoor watering only before 9:00 AM and after 5:00 PM, with even-numbered addresses allowed to water on Tuesdays and odd-numbered addresses on Thursdays. The board also unanimously set the Fall Special Town Meeting for October 19, 2026 at Middleborough High School, with the warrant opening August 18 and closing August 28 at noon.
In other business, the board voted 3-0-1 to update tuberculosis screening requirements for body art practitioners, with Select Board Member Tracie Craig-McGee abstaining.
