The Fire Department absorbs $684,142 in cuts including five dispatcher layoffs; the Police Department loses four officers and $432,416 in funding.
The School Department faces a $400,000 reduction without teaching job loss. The board also voted 3-2 to appoint Municipal Resources Inc. at $14,800 as Town Manager search consultant, with Members Brian Giovanoni and Thomas White opposing and Members William Pike Jr., Tracie Craig-McGee, and Chair Teresa Kelly Farley voting in favor.
