Select Board votes to consolidate polling locations

DocumentCenter · Meeting of May 18, 2026

Middleborough Select Board consolidates polling locations, saves $20,777 annually. Town Clerk Pam Menconi presented the consolidation plan, moving Precinct 3 from South Fire Station to Middleborough High School and Precincts 5 and 5A from Council on Aging to Nichols Middle School, citing parking and accessibility improvements. The board voted unanimously to initiate the consolidation, which maintains required election staff levels while improving operational efficiency.

The board also rescheduled the Special Town Meeting from June 1 to June 16, approved a Memorandum of Understanding for Peter J. Oliver House tourism use, and appointed four members to the Board of Library Trustees.
